PURCHASING INSTRUCTIONS

Online orders through VWR, Fisher Scientific and Sigma:
Follow the login instructions below and either print the cart and put it in Brett’s mailbox with the account to charge, or send him an email, btribou@tulane.edu, and he will place the order.

NOTES:
If the order includes any chemicals, the printout or email, listing the chemicals, must include the approval of your advisor.

Chemicals on the DHS list of Chemicals of Interest must be ordered on a CBE Requisition form and include the approval of your advisor.

VWR orders: go to www.vwrsp.com and log on to our department account (username-bal@tulane.edu, psswd-vwrorder), place your items in a basket and click "Save as Shopping List." Type in your name and click "Save as Shopping List."

Fisher Scientific orders: go to Fishersci.com and log on to our department account (username-fisherords, psswd-cbeorders), place your items in the cart, click on “view cart” and then click "Save as a Template." Type in your name and click "Save Template."

Sigma orders: go to Sigma.com and log on with (username-sigmaord, psswd-cbeorders), place your items in a cart then scroll down and click "Add Selected Items to Shopping Cart.” Enter your name in the Shipping Info - Attention to: box and click “Save Cart.” (DO NOT CLICK THE SUBMIT BUTTON) - a new window will open asking for a name for your cart. Enter your name and click the "Save Cart" button again (your name will appear in the list of Saved Shopping Carts).

Items from other vendors costing under $2,500, except chemicals, may be purchased through your advisor if he/she has a Tulane Visa Purchasing Card, or you can complete a CBE Requisition form and put it in Brett’s mailbox and he will place the order.

Items over $2,500 must be ordered on a CBE Requisition form.
