Postdoctoral Researcher Position
The Departments of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Physics, Microbiology & Immunology and the Department Pharmacology: School of Medicine are currently engaged in interdisciplinary research which involves intracranial delivery of TFV and VPA to suppress neuroaids. The project involves the synthesis of titania ceramic implants which can release drugs at a controlled rate to damaged tissue within the central nervous system. We are seeking a postdoctoral candidate for this position with a strong background in inorganic synthesis, and one who will be capable of performing characterization studies, which involve advanced physical techniques including TEM, BET surface area measurements, STM, XPS and controlled drug release measurements. Animal studies will be carried out by specially trained faculty in the College of Medicine. The position is funded for a two year period through a Tulane University research enhancement fund.
We especially encourage applications from women, minorities, and persons with disabilities. Tulane is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer.
